Some of us feel guilty about participating in affirmative action programs. Do you?

I have no guilt over affirmative action whatsoever ! This program was started to equalize the workforce and to give less fortunate minorities a chance to prosper in this world. Although I will never want affirmative action to be abolished, I admit there are some flaws in the program that needs to be corrected. Some critics of AF suggest that we end it. If they cared ( which I feel that they don't ) about the welfare of minorities and women, they would revamp the program to the point that maybe white people and other minorities will benfit from the program. I notice that public figures will often use the rhetoric " well Martin Luther KIng Jr wanted equality for all and AF isn't it. EXCUSE MOI ? but was'nt it Dr. King and others who started the program ? God, they can keep that in their mouth. Truthfully, AF is imperfect but it should not be abolished. As long as there are racists out there discrimination will continue.
