Hi all: I am 25 years old, born and raised in Denver, CO. I've lived in Portland for two years and recently moved to the very brown city of Los Angeles. My mother was of native american and white descent. My father was "supposedly" a dark-skinned Puerto Rican. I consider myself biracial, although my mix isn't straight black and white, since I appear biracial to onlookers. Likewise, i identify as such. Even though I can't pass for white, and don't really care to, I recognize that we biracials need a group to further the cause of our new and improved race that we may endure and bring our children up in a healthy society which looks beyond ethnicity and race.
