Greetings to all my brothers and sisters; I am a person of mixed heritage(african american/irish) although I appear at first glance to be white. It is dificult as I am sure you have all born witness too, to define yourself as belonging to one group or the other. I do not concider myself white, and I do not concider myself black. I inhabit that grey netherworld. Not black enough but with the "one drop makes you black" rule hanging over my head. I do find myself more comfortable amongst people of color though and I am so glad to have found this and the MIXEDFOLKS website. At last I can communicate with my own.
