In all honesty, this is my first attempt to write a story about myself as a biracial person who in may ways, have Causaian appreances. I will start by telling what I do as well as who I am. I live in Chicago and am employed by the Chicago Public Schools as a teacher. Teaching is my second career since I worked for the State of Illinois as a designer-drafter. I write, am a professional artist (ceramics & painting), and I'm a photographer so I keep myself VERY busy doing what I enjoy doing. I am a practcing Roman Catholic, married to a lovely Philippine woman. We have five lovely children! All of our children are either in the profes- sions or completing university training so they are doing very well. My biracial experience was typical of so many others who are of mixed racial parentage with experiences of being considered `different' from the mainstream American society, fights and harrassment,rejection, then accept- ance while growing up. So this about sums my biracial experiences. My purpose of writing this organization is the share my experiences as well as meet others like myself.
