My mother is Greek and my father is Indian (Asian Indian, not Native American!) Legally, I am not biracial because Indians are considered caucasians by the government (They have been since the 1950's), but personally I do not feel all white. Most people think I am Italian (or something along those lines) when they first see me. I do not look Indian AT ALL! I am in the Asian-American club at my school and at one meeting a girl turned to a friend who was sitting next to me and said, "Why did you make your friend come?". I thought, why can't I look more Indian? My cousin from India says I have some Indian features, but that's it. Otherwise, I'm just white to everyone else. I don't mean to sound like a whiny little spoiled baby (Yes, I know that I do, but just bear with me, here) but I am not comfortable with this. I am proud to be Indian as well as Greek.
